Getting an Animal Health Certificate is an easy straight forward process that many veterinary practices complicate or shy away from.

The detail is important and it is essential that the correct guidelines are followed for the country(s) un which you intend to visit.

We have two ways of issuing an Animal Health Certificate.

Start to finish through Evesham Vets

​

If you are close enough to us for us to carry out your required vaccinations we can work with you to ensure your animal(s) have the required vaccinations and paperwork to travel.

Uusing Evesham Vets for the AHC only

We are happy to help anyone obtain an Animal Health Certificate. If you are not a client of ours, no need to worry, we make the process super easy. 

​

Simply follow these steps:

​

1. Check your pets rabies vaccination is up to date. Rectify if not. 

2. Contact us to book an appointment. 

3. Request your vet send us your history showing proof of your vaccinations. Rabies is essential as is proof your vet scanned your animals microchip at the time of the vaccination. 

4. We will email you a checklist form to complete so we can confirm your in person appointment.

5. Bring your pet(s) with you to your appointment to collect and sign your Animal Health Certificate

Essential information

​

Rabies vaccines are usually valid for 3 years. This needs to be checked carefully. 

Your pet(s) need to be at least 12 weeks old at the time of the rabies vaccination. 

At least 21 days must have passed for us to be able to issue an Animal Health Certificate. (Boosters that are in date are an exception.)

Appointments must be within 10 days of your journey time and at least 21 days after your Rabies vaccination. 

The person named on the certificate as well as the pet(s) must be in attendance for your appointment.
